Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-07-06

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) set out the agreement between you and Roamlu when you browse our site, buy a plan, or use our services. Please read them carefully. By purchasing or using a Roamlu eSIM or any related feature, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, completing a purchase, installing a Roamlu eSIM, or otherwise using our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.

If you are using Roamlu on behalf of a company or another person, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf, and “you” in these Terms refers to that organization or person.

2. About Roamlu and our service

Roamlu provides prepaid travel connectivity built for the Gulf and the wider region. Our core product is a data-only eSIM (an embedded SIM profile you install on a compatible device) that lets you get online while you travel, without swapping physical SIM cards.

Alongside the eSIM, we may offer optional features such as VoIP-based calling, a VPN, and an AI travel advisor. Availability of these features can vary by plan, destination, and device, and some may be added, changed, or withdrawn over time.

Our eSIM plans provide mobile data only. They are not a full replacement for a home mobile line and are not intended for emergency use. A data-only eSIM may not be able to reach local emergency services (for example, by dialing a national emergency number). Always keep an alternative means of contacting emergency services available when you travel.

3. Eligibility and your account

To buy and use Roamlu, you must be able to form a binding contract under the law that applies to you, and you must provide accurate, current, and complete information when you purchase or register.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Please tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission. We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, unlawfully, or in breach of these Terms.

4. Plans, activation, and validity

Each plan lists the data allowance, the covered destination or region, and the validity period that applies to it. Unless a plan clearly states otherwise, the validity period begins when the plan is activated — typically when your eSIM first connects to a supported network in the coverage area — and it runs continuously from that point, whether or not you keep using the data.

“Unlimited” plans are subject to a fair-use policy. Each such plan includes a defined full-speed data allowance; once that allowance is used within a given period, your connection speed may be reduced for the remainder of that period. Unless stated otherwise, the full-speed allowance resets every 24 hours. Reduced speeds still allow basic use such as messaging, but may not support data-heavy activities.

Data allowances do not roll over. Any unused data at the end of a plan’s validity period expires and is not carried forward, refunded, or exchanged. If you need more data, you can usually buy an additional plan or top-up where one is offered.

5. Device compatibility and your responsibility

Roamlu eSIMs only work on devices that are both eSIM-capable and carrier-unlocked. Before you buy, it is your responsibility to confirm that your device supports eSIM and is not locked to a specific carrier. We provide guidance to help you check, but we cannot guarantee compatibility with every device or software version.

You are responsible for installing your eSIM correctly, keeping your device’s software up to date, and configuring settings such as enabling data roaming for the Roamlu profile where required. An eSIM that has been installed cannot always be reinstalled on the same or another device, so please follow the installation steps carefully.

6. Pricing, payment, and currency

Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and are payable in that currency. The price you pay is the price shown at the time you complete your purchase. Where taxes, duties, or similar charges apply, they will be added or included as indicated during checkout.

You agree to pay all amounts due for the plans you buy using a valid payment method. Your bank or payment provider may apply its own fees, exchange rates, or conversions, which are outside our control. We may correct pricing errors and cancel affected orders (with a refund of amounts paid) where a price was clearly displayed in error.

7. Refunds and cancellations

A Roamlu eSIM is a digital good that is made available to you immediately, so our refund approach reflects that. This section describes our policy; it does not limit any rights you may have under the mandatory consumer laws that apply to you.

If an eSIM has not been delivered to you, or has been delivered but not yet installed or activated, and it has not been used, you may be eligible for a refund — for example, where a technical fault on our side prevented delivery or where you bought a plan for a device or destination it cannot work with, provided you contact us promptly.

Once a plan has been activated or its data has started to be used, it is generally non-refundable, because the service has already been provided. We do not refund unused data, plans that have expired, or issues caused by an incompatible or locked device, by disabling required settings, or by conditions outside our control. If you think something has gone wrong, contact us and we will review your case in good faith.

8. Acceptable use

You agree to use Roamlu only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You must not use our services to break any law or regulation, to send spam or malicious content, to infringe anyone’s rights, or to harm, overload, or interfere with our networks, our partners’ networks, or other users.

You must not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Roamlu plans without our written permission, use a plan primarily as a permanent or fixed line, or attempt to bypass, tamper with, or circumvent fair-use limits, speed management, or other technical or security measures. We may limit, suspend, or terminate service that we reasonably believe is being misused.

9. Coverage and service limitations

Coverage, speeds, and available network technologies depend on the local partner networks in each destination and on factors we do not control — such as your location, buildings and terrain, network congestion, weather, and your device. Coverage maps and speed descriptions are indicative only and are not a promise of any particular result.

We work to provide a reliable service, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available. Networks can experience outages, maintenance, or throttling, and service may be degraded or unavailable at times. This is a normal part of mobile connectivity and, to the extent permitted by law, is not something for which we are liable.

10. Third-party networks and providers

Roamlu delivers connectivity using mobile networks and technology provided by third-party carriers and suppliers. Their networks and services are subject to their own systems, coverage, and constraints, and we are not responsible for acts or omissions of these third parties beyond our reasonable control. Optional features may also rely on third-party providers whose own terms may apply to your use of those features.

11. Intellectual property

The Roamlu name, logo, site, software, content, and design are owned by Roamlu or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use our services for their intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of our services except as the law expressly allows or as we permit in writing.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roamlu and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) our services. Where we are found liable, our total liability for any claim relating to a plan will not exceed the amount you paid for that plan.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Roamlu and its officers, employees, and suppliers from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or of the rights of any third party.

14. Changes to the service or these terms

We may update, improve, or discontinue features, plans, or destinations from time to time, and we may change these Terms to reflect changes in our services, in the law, or in how we operate. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.

Your continued use of Roamlu after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a change, please stop using our services.

15. Governing law

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the competent courts of that jurisdiction will have jurisdiction to resolve any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.

16. Contact us
